Spray bottles are everywhere: an increasing number of cosmetic and household products are available in aerosol form, i.e. in spray cans with contents. These do indeed offer many advantages. For one thing, the contents can be dispensed very economically in this way. On the other hand, they achieve a very even distribution of the contents, which is often of great importance, especially for cosmetic and medical products, since a precise amount or dose is usually specified. Finally, aerosol products can also reach those areas and places that are normally difficult or impossible to access. Just think of mouth sprays: When sprayed, these practical aerosol products reach even the most inaccessible areas of the mouth, allowing them to take full effect everywhere. Or sunscreen sprays: compared to creams, they are much easier to use and are particularly user-friendly.
What’s more, aerosol products are considered very safe when used properly. It is now common knowledge that the spray mist should not be inhaled if possible. However, the spray cans must bear various safety instructions. For example, the sentence ‘Pressurised container’. But also the information that the can must be protected from temperatures above 50 degrees Celsius and from sunlight. In addition, the instruction that the container must not be opened by force or burned before, during or after use must not be missing. If the aerosol products are flammable, the legislator prescribes additional instructions and symbols.
Incidentally, spray cans have not been the ‘environmental sinners’ they once were for years. The ozone-active fluorocarbons (CFC propellants) used in the past have long since become a thing of the past. There are now sensible alternatives that are no longer harmful to our environment or the ozone layer and some of which are even considered to be largely harmless.

Propane/butane, compressed air, nitrogen, nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide and DME are used as propellants for classic aerosol products. The way they work is easy to explain: when the outlet valve is opened and the propellant is pressurised, the aerosols (finest particles) are atomised and released evenly into the air. Classic aerosol products are very easy and convenient to use, they are suitable for a wide range of products, are ozone-friendly and offer high quality at affordable prices. The containers are made of tinplate, aluminium and PET. We can also offer you mini-sprays between 5 and 50 ml.
With the two-chamber system using bags (BOV) or piston cans, the contents and propellant are separated from each other. This means that even thicker or creamier substances can easily escape from the can when the valve is pressed. An example of such a product is shaving gel, which has a somewhat viscous consistency. But two-compartment systems are also very suitable for aqueous products, oils, pastes and fats. They allow very precise and convenient dosing and can even be used for aerosol products in the food sector. Here, too, the containers are made of aluminium, tinplate or PET.
