Medically inspired active ingredients are playing an increasingly important role in modern cosmetics. It has long been used in Uyghur and Chinese medicine to treat rheumatoid arthritis, cold coughs, stomach pain, dysmenorrhea, and altitude sickness. In cosmetics, it is typically used as an anti-inflammatory, moisturizer, and antioxidant.
Medically inspired active ingredients: Paeonol
Paeonol is an almost white crystalline powder. The peony is known in China as the queen of flowers. It not only has an important ornamental value, but also a certain medicinal value. The root of Paeonia suffruticosa contains paeonol, methyl cyanidin, β-glutinol and tannic acid. Paeonol has a good anti-inflammatory and soothing effect on the skin and can be used as a supplement for oral anti-allergic substances instead of hormones. In traditional Chinese medicine, paeonol ointment is used to treat acute skin eczema and itching, and has a significant healing effect. Centella asiatica

Actimilla (INCI = Alchemilla Vulgaris Extract)
Actimilla is an extract of lady’s mantle (Alchemilla vulgaris). Lady’s mantle is used in herbal medicine for its healing properties. In traditional herbal medicine, it is used to relieve skin rashes, eczema, acne, insect bites and dry to rough skin. Actimilla shows strong antioxidant activities through DPPH and FRAP tests and inhibits the formation of intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS). Due to its high tannin content, Actimilla shows strong anti-acne activity and also has anti-dandruff properties.
Gerbex Stephania
The plant is an herb belonging to the Menispermaceae. Its root, listed as an herbal remedy in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, contains the active ingredient tetrandrine and is effective in inhibiting inflammation.

Kakadu plum extract (Terminalia ferdinandiana) is known as one of the highest sources of natural vitamin C. It is used in traditional medicine and for a variety of skin conditions such as wounds.

Medically inspired active ingredients: Shikimic Acid

Kranja oil
