Skin peeling (organic)
The demands of critical consumers for beauty and body care are increasing more and more. The trend is away from synthetic and chemical ingredients and towards ingredients of plant origin. One focus is the search for alternatives to microparticles or microplastics. Skin peeling (organic), for example, describes a skin- and environment-friendly peeling that consistently avoids microplastics, preservatives and other additives. Instead, biogranules are used: plant-based flours that, on the one hand, are largely odorless and tasteless, and on the other hand, are also considered to be virtually hypoallergenic. Ingredients in the plant-based skin peeling (organic) are free of animal testing and also suitable for vegan products. For organic skin peeling, a whole range of high-quality vegetable flours are used. Olive kernel powder, for example, but also avocado kernel powder, argan kernel granules, almond shell granules, as well as granules from plum stones, peach stones and apricot kernels.
The advantages of skin peeling (organic)
Skin peeling (organic) is 100 percent natural. Corresponding products consist exclusively of renewable raw materials or of processed by-products from vegetable and fruit processing. They are completely free of chemical substances and preservatives. The mechanical screening and grinding process uses only drinking water and heat; no other substances are used. Moreover, the respective particle sizes can be individually adapted to the requirements. Even mixtures of different fruit stone granules are possible without any problems.
What is peeling suitable for?
Peelings are primarily intended to rid the skin of dead skin cells and make the skin look fresher. The term peeling is derived from the English “peel” and means “to peel”.
Skin peelings are aimed at a wide variety of applications. For example, to ensure that the complexion does not look flaky and sallow, but fresh and vital, peelings are suitable for various skin conditions. Dry and sensitive skin needs a moisturizing peeling that does not contain coarse particles and is gentle on the skin. For oily and impure skin, on the other hand, the grains may be somewhat coarser. Regular mechanical peelings should refine the skin texture and stimulate cell renewal.
While for other methods, such as highly concentrated fruit acid peels, chemical peels and enzyme peels, an experienced cosmetic institute or even a dermatologist should be consulted. This is because improper treatment can result in serious skin damage. For example, with a fruit acid peeling: if the concentration of the acid is too high, it attacks the skin much too strongly. Mechanical skin peeling (organic) is considered the gentlest and most gentle method when used with a high-quality formulation. Here, the selection of fruit granules must be done very carefully to avoid possible micro-injuries to the skin.
However, not only the face is happy about a regular peeling treatment. The granules, which vary in size depending on the area of application, also serve as completely natural abrasives on other areas of the body. With a skin peeling dead skin cells can be removed from the whole body, thus the skin is tightened, better supplied with blood, cleansed, and cared for. After the skin peeling (organic) it feels soft to the touch again and looks much rosier and livelier.
Application of organic skin peeling
As a rule, the body peeling is applied directly in the shower. Through the circular movements while massaging, the granules act as tiny abrasive particles that rid the skin of impurities and dead flakes.
The same applies to foot peeling. Stubborn old horn cells can be almost completely removed with a skin peeling, resulting in velvety soles and pads.
And even in dental care, skin peeling (organic) performs valuable services. In the so-called tooth peeling or bleaching, the teeth are visually whitened, unsightly yellow discoloration and deposits disappear.
In principle, vegetable flours, granules and powders are not only suitable for peelings. They are also suitable as ingredients in highly effective hand and foot cleansers, which provide valuable services in industry or crafts, for example. In addition, the ingredients of skin peeling (organic) are excellent natural binders and fillers, even for the modification of textures they can be used very well.
In cosmetics, they are increasingly used as a base for sophisticated makeup. Olive seed powder is particularly interesting in this context, as it acts as an ideal lightener due to its delicate beige tint.
Some powders and granules even serve as active ingredients. Avocado seed powder, for example, has an extraordinarily high antioxidant content. Finally, the plant substances also offer themselves as efficient carriers for perfumes, flavors, and pigments. The granules, powders and flours can therefore be used in an enormous variety of ways, especially in the cosmetics sector.
The most important natural skin peeling (organic) substances at a glance
Argan seed shell granules or powder
INCI: Argania Spinosa Kernel Extract
Definition: Shells from the kernel of the argan fruit
Origin: Argan trees grow almost exclusively in the south of Morocco. In the Agadir area alone, there is an 820,000 hectare area where the trees thrive and which has been recognized by UNESCO as a biosphere reserve.
Extraction: The almond, which is at the core of the argan fruit, is pressed in a traditional process by local women. This pressing is done without any additives and in hand-operated stone mills.
Special feature: Argan kernel shells are considered extremely rare and precious, as they are only available in limited quantities each year.
Avocado seed powder or granules
INCI: Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Extract
CAS number: 84695-98-7
Definition: Powder and granules from the nutrient-rich large seed of the fruit
Origin: predominantly Central and South America

Skin peeling offers great benefits in cosmetics
Thanks to their many beneficial properties, granules, powders, and flours made from fruit peels, stones and seeds are valuable ingredients for cosmetics production as well as for food and medicinal products. Due to their extraordinarily high content of vitamins, polyunsaturated fatty acids, amino acids, and polyphenols (biophenols), olive pits, avocado pits, argan pit shells and apricot pits in particular have proven to be effective and gentle ingredients for skin peeling (organic) products. Fruit stone powders are more than just gentle granules in skin peeling (organic) thanks to their antioxidant effect, they contain health-promoting substances that have a very positive influence on the skin in particular. In addition, they are of course also a completely harmless alternative to microplastics. Cosmacon will be happy to advise you on the right choice of ingredients to develop a high-quality skin peeling!
